I planned on doing something today, but never really got around to it and nobody else was up for something fun so I wasn’t really in the mood to go somewhere alone.
I went to Safeway with Tom around lunch time, I got the best mocha coconut frappucino ever, it was so fancy! We also saw a human woman in an electric wheelchair with a basket on the front which contained a chihuahua wrapped in a blanket, it was hilarious but really weird at the same time.
I just lounged around and watched some Malcolm in the Middle and I also watched Heathers. I made a lovely quesadilla for dinner and I just came back from a walk. It was insanely windy out so I didn’t really go out for long, but there was some nice views. So here they are!
I actually really, really like how these turned out, I think I’ll print some of them out and put them on my wall when I get home as a little series.
So I think it’s day 61 anyway. We’ve moved into the new apartment and it’s just lovely! We’re living up in the hills and it’s such a trek leaving the house because you know you’re going to have to climb back up to get home, but it’s still lovely.
I took a trip to Safeway and Walgreens today to buy some food and look for an airbed, they unfortunately didn’t have any airbeds so I’m going to have to find a Walgreens that does. The floor isn’t too bad for now though, there’s lots of comfy duvets I can sleep on.
We have the most amazing views up here. I think tomorrow I’m going to go for a walk around and explore the nature trails, we’re near a lot of parks! I’m also looking forward to taking some night shots, my mini tripod isn’t the best but I’ll make do 🙂
The view and hill up to safeway.
So we woke up and I called the guy that was supposed to let us view the apartment, he didn’t know we wanted to move in tomorrow so we basically had to get dressed and run up there. Jesus we’re gonna be fit after it! There are two little hills leading up to Harry Street, which isn’t actually a street, just a shit load of steps that lead up to Beacon Street, we are going to die.
We got there anyway and he let us in, it’s a bit small but looks lovely and will definitely be good enough to live in, we can’t complain about the cheap rent either!
After the walk back me and Tom headed to La Taqueria, got the best burrito ever. It was so cheap too, the veggie one is $3 cheaper than the meat ones, gotta love being vegetarian. We headed back to the apartment after and I had a quick nap, well, maybe about 2 hours or so…but I woke up feeling nice and refreshed!
I started to pack up my stuff but got hungry so me and Tom headed down to the Crepehouse to get some food, I got the roasted eggplant sandwich with their amazing potatoes, so good. I have leftovers too which will be a nice reward after I get done packing, which is going to be impossible.
Tomorrow will be full of moving and ordering food from Safeway because there’s no way we could carry it all up the steps, I think we would die. It’s going to be weird living there because we don’t have everything on our doorstep, but I think it will be a nice change, we’re beside a park so there are some nice nature trails to check out and the view is amazing.
So me, Tom and Ali set off hoping to go to the Golden Gate Bridge today. We got the bus to Fort Mason and started walking up. We stopped off in Safeway to get some food for lunch, the staff were all a bit mad, but it was good so that’s alright.
We realised when we got near the bridge that we probably should have rented bikes before we started walking, because we had to walk up the motorway, we clearly didn’t research it enough. We got to see some lovely views of it and decided that was enough for today, so we said we’d save it for another day and go to the Exploratorium instead. It was really cool! If you have kids and are in San Francisco definitely bring them there, if we had fun in our 20’s then they will definitely enjoy it.
So we were scammed by some eejit and lost some money on an apartment deposit. Me and Tom went to view a different one just off Powell, such an amazing location! The apartment however, not so amazing for four people. It would be nice if it was just two people, but it literally only had a bedroom, bathroom and tiny excuse for a kitchen. It’s a last resort really. We’re viewing another one on Sunday so hopefully that will work out better!
After we looked at the apartment we headed to Denny’s to get some food. I got the veggie cheese omlette, as usual, gotta love the pre-buttered toast! Tom got a weird blue drink, I think it was called the Pacific chiller, it had an odd after taste but it wasn’t too bad.
So there’s not much to part 2, just beach photos from the last day. But I didn’t wanna clump them all together so that’s why they’re separate. Enjoy! It was amazing.
Cute little beach houses!
So I went to San Diego for a few days to visit a friend and had some amazing fun times! I’m not gonna write about it because there’s already too many photos to go through and I want to get it done fast. But yeah, it was great. We went to the zoo which was the best.
My flight was delayed 😦
The best breadstick in the world.
