I got up just after 9 today. I had some cereal and eggos for breakfast, can’t beat em. We hung around the house for a while because it was extremely hot outside. Ali had a trial run at Urban Burger so she popped off to that at 11. Me, Tom and Andy went to the laundromat to wash our clothes, we’re grown ups now! It’s so much easier than if we had a washing machine, we were done in less than half an hour. The laundromat is right beside Yutopia, an amazing frozen yoghurt place which is definitely going to be part of our laundry routine. I got original tart with raspberries and strawberries, it was insanely good. I got a small too and it was more than enough! Oh Americans and their crazy portion sizes.
We headed back to the apartment when we were finished. We chilled around for a while and then Ali came back, she said it went well so hopefully she’ll get the job. Me, Tom and Ali decided to take a trip out to Guitar Centre, Tom wanted to buy a backpacker guitar for while he’s travelling. We got the 49 bus and there was an insane Asian lady sitting across from us. Her shirt was waaay too tight and she was missing a toe nail, she was talking to herself the whole time, fairly sure she was on drugs. So that was a bit of slightly scary entertainment for passing the time on the bus. We got to Guitar Centre and had a look around, Tom found a lovely little guitar for $129.99, not bad! I also bought a ukulele… even though I already have one it’ so lovely and it was only $39.99 which is amazing! I haven’t opened it yet because I’m not in the mood to tune it, but I’m going to give it a good play later, can’t wait!
We got the bus back and on the way home we stopped off in Phat Philly’s for some dinner. I got the tofu cheese steak and some waffle fries, it was amazing. If anyone is around the Mission District I definitely recommend it, one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! Totally looking forward to going back there.
We stayed in the rest of the night and just chilled. No plans set in stone for tomorrow but I think we’re meeting Julie, the owner of the apartment we’re staying in. We’re going to hang for a while and we need to get the key for the post box off her. Gotta love getting post.
