So I once again haven’t been keeping up to date with blogging. I’ve been a bit stressed still trying to get my bank and credit cards so I haven’t bothered posting.

Nothing too mad has happened, I went to the laundromat with Tom and Andy and after me and Tom went for a coffee, it was one of the worst I had but it was nice to get out of the house and just chill somwhere for a while. Dave and his friends came up that night for a few drinks in ours, then I headed out to the Elbo Room with them after, it was pretty dead and the bartender was an asshole, but it was so nice to get out of the house with some different people and not just sit around drinking and watching TV.

There hasn’t really been anything else happening. Yesterday, Friday, me, Andy and Ali went to the post office so we can get paying rent sorted, then we went to Mission Kitchen for breakfast, it was amazing. We headed home after because we had ordered groceries from Safeway to be delivered to us. They arrived and we watched Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal, what a lovely Friday afternoon! We had nothing to do for the night so we tried to go to the Giants baseball game that Tom was going to but there were no seats left together and we didn’t want to stand. We went to the cinema to see Moonrise Kingdom instead. I’ve seen it before but it;s so good I didn’t mind going to it again. We met Tom at the BART station when we were finished and he headed home with us, he was at the game and he was in one of the Facebook offices, he had a few beers so he let us know that a few times 😉

Happy Birthday Andy! So today is Andy’s birthday, he turned the big 20! We hung around the house all day, Tom was at work. When everyone was home and ready we headed to Pier 39 and Fisherman’s Wharf.

Andy was dying to go to the Rainforest Café for his birthday dinner so we went there. It was insanely cool! We had to wait a few minutes before we were seated so we got to look around the gift shop. When we were seated we were surrounded by robot animals and fake jungle plants, it was amazing! The food was really expensive, but it was definitely worth it, it tasted amazing. We finished up eating and had another look in the giftshop where we actually bought stuff this time. I got a shot glass and a glass with a straw so I can use it for my water 🙂

We walked back through Pier 39 and had a bit of a look around. We got the BART back to the apartment and we just chilled for a while, everyone was pretty tired!

All in all it was a nice day and Andy enjoyed it too so that’s all that matters 🙂

I’m getting so confused with my days because I haven’t been keeping on top of this as much as I should be. So here are two days mixed into one. I went for an amazing breakfast with Andy in the Mission Kitchen, it was so cheap and there was an insane amount of food, can’t wait to go back there again because it was sooo good! After that we just wandered around Mission and went to Walgreens to get some stuff. Me and Tom got pizza for dinner, it was amazing as usual. We took a quick trip to Walgreens that night and I bought a lovely cheap sweatshirt and he got a notebook.Image

The next day me, Andy and Ali went to the laundromat. We stuck our clothes in the machines and headed next door to get some froyo, it was amazing as usual and this time we got loyalty cards, can’t wait to get a free one! We went back to the apartment and we got Chinese for dinner. I got the same as last time but it was different, still tasted lovey though. We had some birthday drinks for Andy and at 8 in the morning Irish time, Jeff and Phil skyped us and drank with us, such men. So that was a good laugh, we all headed to bed after that.

So I went to Warped Tour. It was amazing. I went with Tom who really didn’t want to go, and he let me know it more than once during the day! But I appreciated him going because it meant I wasn’t on my own. I’m not going to write too much about it because it was a really long day, but I got to see the end of Four Year Strong’s set, New Found Glory, Anti-Flag, Fireworks and Transit. I missed out on Taking Back Sunday and The Used because of set clashes, and we left early because Tom had a migraine so I had to miss out on Man Overboard which was sad, hopefully I’ll get to see them some other time because I really, really want to see them live.

Anyway, here’s some pictures from the day, enjoy!

I was sitting on the porch the other night waiting for the raccoon to come back and pay us a visit. He never did 😦 So I just took a few night shots of our street and stuff. Just thought I’d upload them to a separate post so they don’t rot on my laptop forever.

Today was a bit of a lazy day, it was pretty hot when I woke up so I wasn’t in the mood for leaving the house. We chilled around the apartment for a while, just me and Andy, Ali had gone with Tom because she wanted to check out Palo Alto.

We watched some Animal Cops Houston, Francis joined us for a while and covered the arm of the sofa in hair. Eventually I tidied up the sitting room, put away Tom’s wardobe of clothes from the floor to his drawer and gave the place a good hoover. Even though it’s going to be full of cat hair by tomorrow morning it’s still nice to have it looking really clean for a while.

After the cleaning I had a shower and went to Walgreens and the farmers shop to get some groceries, I bought some nice looking fruit so I’m looking forward to not getting rickets. Ali was back when I got back so we all just watched telly for a while. When Tom got back he took Ali outside, he sneakily bought her an early birthday present of a bike because she’s been dying to get one while we’re here and for at home. They went off to get frozen yoghurt and me and Andy ordered pizza to Dolores Park.

On the walk to the park we witnessed a car crash! Everyone was ok but it was an exciting two minutes. It was me and Andy’s first time at the park, the others had been a few times on their own. It’s really nice! There were tons of people just hanging out and chilling. We got our pizza and ate it on the grass, some guy came up to us and wanted to know if we wanted him to take a picture of us, so we said yeah and offered him pizza. He came back a few minutes later and asked us if we wanted to go to his roof garden to enjoy the last of the sun…we politely declined and he went off. Weird.

When we were finished the pizza we headed down to the playground, it was so cool! Definitely have to go back there more often, we’re going to try and make it a thing where we eat there once a week, it’s so nice.

On the way back to the apartment we stopped outside a bookshop and gave him the rest of our pizza, he was so, so happy with it, I think it made his night.

We got back and me and Ali headed out to the shop to get some beer, they didn’t have any cider so we got bud-light, it’s actually not that bad! I think I’ve finally found a beer that I can drink and not make weird faces after, nice. We just hung around and watched some Workaholics and chilled on the porch for a while because it was a nice night out.

Today was a very lazy day. I woke up a good few times during the night and when I woke up really early I just forced myself to go back to sleep. I got up about 10 and just chilled with Andy and Ali. We watched some Blue Mountain State and I made a nice veggie bacon and cheese bagel for breakfast. I facetimed the fam for a while which was nice. When I was finished with them I had a killer headache so I tried to take a nap for a while. Andy had gone for a walk and Ali eventually went to work. I had the house to myself! I thought about going out for a while but I wasn’t in the mood and my head was still killing me. Andy came home and we watch 1,000 Ways to Die and Worlds Worst Tenants, so good.

When Tom got back we watched telly for a bit and then we headed to Urban Burger where Ali is working. It took us a while to find it because we didn’t go far enough so we kept walking back and forward until we leeched off some wifi and found the right address. When we got in we ordered our food, we were waiting a while but it’s all cooked fresh so it made sense. I got a veggie burger with provolone and pesto mayo and fries. Honestly, I wasn’t that impressed which is disappointing. Maybe if we go back I’ll just try something different, but the pesto mayo wasn’t the nicest. The chips were pretty good though but I was so full I couldn’t eat many. Free drink refills were nice and of course the staff are great 😉 ImageImageImageImageImage

We’re just chilling at the apartment now and watching some Family Guy. I think I’m going to play my ukulele for a while, haven’t really played it much so far so I’m going to look up some fun songs and see what happens! No plans for tomorrow but I might go to the shopping centre or just wander around, still haven’t gotten to the local Starbucks so there’s also that. Sure we’ll see.
